About Allee
Allee Willis is a GRAMMY®, Emmy, Tony and Webbie award-winning and nominated songwriter, artist, multimediaist, director, collector, party thrower whose hit songs have sold more than 50 million records. She’s also the co-author of the Broadway musical, The Color Purple. Her art includes painting, motorized sculpture, videos, ceramics, furniture design, web design and sets. Willis has addressed Congress on artists’ rights in cyberspace. The social network she built, The Allee Willis Museum of Kitsch at AWMOK.com, promotes vibrant social interaction and contains the largest collection of pop culture kitsch on the planet. Most recently, Willis conducted her college and high school bands, the University of Wisconsin and Mumford High in Detroit, doing sing-along medleys of her greatest hits, as well as a one night only sold out performance in Los Angeles in October, an evening of songs, stories and party games. Willis will reprise her Soup To Nuts Party Mix show in March of 2012.
